The BigPond 21 Wireless Broadband Home Network Gateway connects to the Telstra Next G™ network. The device has a peak rated downlink speed of 21 Mbps, typical downlink speeds are 550kbps to 8Mbps and typical uplink speeds of 300kbps 1Mbps.*
The gateway also creates a network around your home or office without the messy wires. So now everyone can be online at the same time from almost anywhere in a typical home or small office. This allows you to access the Telstra Next G™ network making it easy for you to watch movies and download music, without the need for a fixed internet connection.
The BigPond 21 Home Network Gateway has a 300Mbps/11n wireless access point, four 10/100 Ethernet ports and features state of the art security features such as WPA data encryption, SPI Firewall and VPN pass through.
The Telstra BigPond Elite Wireless Network Gateway includes four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, two USB ports, a SIM card slot and an optional antenna connector for wireless reception. The USB ports allow printers or hard drives to be shared over a network, while the four Ethernet ports can connect directly to a PC or other network-capable device.
The USB ports are conveniently located on the side of the device, so there's no need to remove the rear cover.
