When running the ultrafiltration membrane for the first time, you should wash off protection solution inside membrane and drive away air inside membrane component with feeding water of low pressure and low flow rate. Water feeding pressure should controlled to be low enough and feed the water from memebrane bottom. All water production and concentration water should be discharged during the whole washing process. Washing time is 5-10 minutes until the water production has no foam or no objectional odor. (In future each open and stop will invole with the sudden changing of system pressure and flow and also impact on membrane component, and so on. Therefore, you should reduce times of opening and stoiping for openning and stopping as possible as you can. Normal opening and stopping also should be controlled as smoothly and steadily as possible, especiallyto make sure that feeding water pressure and flow rise slowly. )
